Who is behind HoroPC
My name is Michal Varcaba. HoroPC is not a call centre or a big company — I repair the computer you bring me myself, and you talk to me directly on the phone.
Taking things apart since childhood
Ever since I was little, I took apart anything that could be taken apart. My family wasn’t thrilled, but it gave me the most important thing: understanding how things work inside. That is why I chose a secondary school specialising in information technology and passed my school-leaving exam (maturita) after four years.
How HoroPC started
After school I worked outside of tech for a while. When the COVID-19 pandemic came, I quit my job and founded HoroPC. The name is simple: Horoměřice + PC. Since then I have helped hundreds of people with their computers and looked after the tech of many businesses.
How I work
- You know the price up front. Diagnostics are free with a repair and I never do extra work without your approval.
- I explain what was wrong — clearly and without jargon.
- I pick up your device. Pickup in Prague and Prague-West is free.
- I respect your privacy. I only access your files when the repair genuinely requires it.
- My work and the parts I supply come with a warranty.
Who I work for
Households, seniors (they get a discount), small businesses without their own IT person, and expats — service in English is no problem. I repair laptops and computers of all brands, build custom PCs, recover data and help you choose new tech.
What I am proud of
What I enjoy most is leaving a happy customer. And then seeing how many good reviews have piled up on Google and Firmy.cz over the years — every single one makes my day.
Where to find me
My drop-off point is in Horoměřice (by prior arrangement only), but usually I come to you — anywhere in Prague and Prague-West, most often Prague 6, Suchdol, Roztoky and nearby villages.
